Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones PlayF2P uses and how to control them.

Essential cookies

Set by WordPress and required for the site to work: they keep you signed in, remember your comment details and protect forms against abuse. The site cannot function without them.

Preference storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember which games you have already voted on, so the same vote is not counted twice. This data never leaves your device.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) — counts visits and page views so we can see which sections are actually used.
  • Microsoft Clarity — records interaction data such as clicks, scrolling and session playback so we can find layout and usability problems.

Advertising

Google AdSense sets cookies to select ads, limit how often you see the same ad and measure performance. Ads may be personalised based on your previous browsing.

Third-party cookies on game pages

The emulator that runs each game is embedded from retrogames.cc. That provider may set its own cookies while a game is loaded. We cannot read or control them.

How to control cookies

  • Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and commenting.
  • Turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings.
  • Opt out of many advertising vendors at optout.aboutads.info.
