You're a knight in heavy armor, so you're just slower and heavier than in most games like this. It honestly changes everything about jumping and fighting — you can't bounce around. You kind of have to commit.

The weight is actually a mechanic, though. You can slam down to break stuff or use your momentum to shove enemies off cliffs. It feels pretty clunky at first but you get used to it. There are parts where you have to take pieces of armor off to make a jump, then go find it again later.
