Pool Merge is one of those deceptively simple puzzle games that hooks you with its clean look and then completely melts your brain. It's a numbers game at heart, but it feels more like a strategic tile-merger where you're constantly planning three moves ahead, trying to keep the board from clogging up. The whole thing has this really satisfying, almost tactile feel when you combine balls, even if it's just on a screen.

You start with a grid and a bunch of numbered pool balls, and your main job is to slide rows of them together to merge identical numbers, creating a new ball with a higher value. The trick is that every move you make adds a few new low-numbered balls to the mix, so you're in this constant race to clear space and build up to the highest number you can. It's all about managing chaos, setting up clever chains, and trying not to paint yourself into a corner where you've got no good moves left.
