Squirel Steps

Alright, so Squirel Steps is one of those deceptively simple puzzle games that hooks you with cute graphics and then completely melts your brain. It's a grid-based logic puzzle, kind of like a mix between a sliding block game and a pathfinding challenge, where you have to think several moves ahead. The goal in each level is usually to get your little squirrel character to an acorn or a specific exit tile, but the twist is that the squirrel moves in fixed, predetermined steps based on the direction you choose, and you can't stop him mid-stride until he hits an obstacle.

You basically plot out a path for the squirrel by placing directional arrows on the grid before you set him loose. The real puzzle comes from figuring out the exact sequence of up, down, left, and right commands so he navigates around walls, avoids pitfalls, and maybe even triggers switches, all in one continuous run. It starts off easy but quickly gets fiendish, forcing you to rewind and tweak your plan over and over until you finally nail that perfect route and watch him scurry to victory.
