Squirrel Steps

Alright, so Squirrel Steps is one of those deceptively simple puzzle games that gets its hooks into you fast. It's a grid-based logic puzzler with a cute, autumnal coat of paint, where you're guiding a little squirrel from acorn to acorn. Think of it as a mix between a sliding block puzzle and a turn-based pathfinder, where every move counts and you've gotta plan a few steps ahead to avoid getting stuck.

In each level, you tap to move the squirrel one square at a time—up, down, left, or right—but here's the catch: you can't backtrack over your own tail, and you have to collect every single acorn on the grid before reaching the final hole in the tree. You'll spend a lot of time staring at the board, tracing potential routes in your head, and then muttering to yourself when you realize your third move completely blocks your path to the last nut. It's the kind of game perfect for short bursts, but don't be surprised if you lose twenty minutes trying to perfect a particularly tricky layout.
