Virus Destroyer is a straightforward, top-down shooter where you're basically a little antibody or nanobot zipping around inside a bloodstream or a computer system, blasting away at waves of incoming viral enemies. It's got that classic arcade feel—simple controls, progressively tougher swarms, and a real "just one more try" kind of energy. The visuals are usually clean and colorful, with the viruses looking like spiky, geometric blobs, and the whole thing is set to a pulsing, synthetic soundtrack that keeps the tension up.
You pilot your tiny ship with either keyboard or mouse, maneuvering to avoid collisions while holding down the fire button to unleash a constant stream of shots. Your main goal is to survive each wave, clearing the screen of all the creepy-crawly pathogens that drift and dart toward you. You'll often pick up power-ups for things like spread shots or temporary shields, and there's usually a screen-clearing bomb for when you get totally overwhelmed. It's all about quick reflexes, pattern recognition, and that satisfying pop when a virus explodes into pixels.
