Sliding Puzzle is one of those classic, deceptively simple games that's been driving people quietly nuts for ages. It's a pure logic puzzle where you're presented with a grid, usually with one empty space, and you have to slide the tiles around to assemble the final picture or put the numbers in order. Don't let the straightforward setup fool you—it starts off easy, but a few wrong moves can leave you in a real tangle, staring at the board and trying to mentally map out a path to victory.
You start each level by shuffling the tiles, and your only tool is that single empty square. You click or tap on a tile adjacent to the gap to slide it over, and you just keep doing that, piece by piece. The goal is to methodically reconstruct the image or numerical sequence, which requires a mix of spatial reasoning and patience. It's all about planning a few steps ahead, because if you just start shoving tiles randomly, you'll almost certainly paint yourself into a corner and have to backtrack.
