China Warrior is a side-scrolling martial arts brawler for the TurboGrafx-16. Its large on-screen fighter advances through a stream of attackers and hazards before facing stronger opponents. The game concentrates on punches, kicks, and jump kicks rather than an extensive command list.

Gameplay
During the scrolling sections, your fighter moves forward while enemies and projectiles approach. Time each attack to meet the threat at the right height, or jump to get clear of an obstacle. The limited attack set makes recognizing distance and rhythm central to play. A punch that comes too early can leave you exposed as an enemy reaches you, while a late response allows contact before the attack connects. Boss encounters bring the forward march to a stop and require repeated successful hits against an opponent with a health bar. These fights give you more direct control over spacing and introduce blocking and counterattacks. The overall objective is to survive the route, defeat the waiting fighter, and continue through the remaining encounters. Your health carries the cost of missed attacks and poorly judged movement.
