Chouzetsu Rinjin – Bravoman is a Japanese action platformer for the TurboGrafx-16’s PC Engine counterpart. Its superhero fights with limbs that extend far beyond normal punching distance. Cartoon enemies, unusual bosses, and changes between land and underwater action give the game a playful superhero presentation.

Gameplay

Guide Bravoman across the stage and use directional attacks to strike at different heights. His reach lets you hit enemies from a distance, but the direction of a stretched attack still needs to match the target’s position. Jumping helps with platform gaps and gives you another way to approach opponents. Health-restoring food and other pickups help maintain the run as damage accumulates. Bosses require repeated hits and attention to their movement, shifting the challenge from crossing terrain to managing one focused encounter. Some stages take place underwater, where the hero becomes a submarine and uses missiles and bombs instead of relying on platform jumps. The switch changes both movement and attack choices while keeping the action side-scrolling. Clearing those different sections requires adjusting to the hero’s current form and the threats in front of him.
