Double Dungeons – W is a TurboGrafx-16 dungeon crawler with first-person exploration and role-playing progression. Corridors lead to monsters, shops, and the key needed to reach each scenario’s boss. A split-screen option allows two adventurers to explore simultaneously, making the dungeon a place to investigate together.

Gameplay
Choose an available scenario, then move through its passages while battling enemies for gold and experience. Experience raises your character’s level, and money can be spent on weapons, armor, and other supplies. Recovering at an inn helps prepare for another trip deeper into the maze. Navigation matters because finding the boss’s door does not finish the search: you still need its key and enough strength to survive the encounter beyond it. The game contains 22 scenarios, with the final one reached after completing the earlier adventures and collecting their passwords. Two-player play divides the display into independent views, so partners can cover different passages while remaining in the same scenario. The result is a direct loop of exploring, fighting, improving equipment, and returning to routes that were too dangerous or incomplete on a previous visit.

The USA label identifies the North American regional release. Keep scenario passwords if you want to work toward the final dungeon.
