Gameplay

Move across platforms, jump over hazards, and attack creatures blocking the route. In the earliest form, the egg must be swung close enough to connect, which makes approaching an enemy part of the challenge. Collected power-ups let the dragon emerge and gain stronger abilities. Eventually it becomes large enough to ride, giving the adventure a different feel as attacks reach farther across the screen. Enemies also drop money that can be spent in shops on useful items. Keeping the dragon developed makes encounters easier to handle, so avoiding damage helps preserve the advantages earned along the way. The game moves through fantasy scenery and more mechanical locations, with the same need to judge landing space and enemy distance in each. Progress is tied to reaching the next stretch of the level while maintaining the companion’s growing strength.
