Dragon Saber – After Story of Dragon Spirit (Japan)

Gameplay

Move through the scrolling playfield while firing forward at flying enemies and using bombs against targets below. Ground threats and airborne formations need different attacks, so concentrating on one can leave the other active. Releasing the fire button for a short time charges a more powerful shot, creating a choice between continuous fire and a stronger burst. Power-ups improve attacks or change the dragon’s form, with different forms providing their own weapons and charge effects. Bosses bring larger targets and more concentrated attack patterns at the ends of stages. Simultaneous two-player play lets a second dragon join the action, adding more firepower while both players navigate the same hazards. Keeping a useful form and choosing room to evade are central to surviving a full stage, especially when an upgrade appears close to an enemy’s firing position.
