F1 Circus ’91 – World Championship is a TurboGrafx-16 racing game with a fast overhead view of Formula One-style competition. The track scrolls past small open-wheel cars, making upcoming corners and nearby traffic the key things to read. Its championship format connects individual race results, while car setup gives you choices before the action begins. The result is a racer built around both preparation and quick reactions.

Gameplay
During a race, you steer through bends, manage your speed, and look for space to move past other cars. The high scrolling speed leaves little time to recover from a poorly judged turn, so recognizing a circuit’s rhythm becomes important. Vehicle damage and tuning are part of the game’s driving model, making a clean run useful beyond simply avoiding a brief delay. World Championship mode provides the main competition, with points and race outcomes giving each event a place in the season. Free Attack lets you practice courses, and Training provides dedicated exercises for learning the handling. These options give you ways to become familiar with the controls before committing to the championship. From the opening laps onward, the challenge is to maintain a repeatable pace while keeping the car under control.
