Genji Tsuushin Agedama is a TurboGrafx-16 action platformer released for the Japanese PC Engine. Based on the superhero property of the same name, it combines running, jumping, and projectile attacks. Much of the game scrolls automatically, so keeping up with the screen is part of surviving the enemies and obstacles ahead.

Gameplay
Guide Agedama through incoming threats, jump across hazards, and use ranged attacks to clear a route. Holding the attack button charges different powers, with the charge display indicating which attack will be released. This makes firing a choice between immediate coverage and waiting for a stronger or differently shaped attack. The available powers include attacks that spread across more of the screen, changing how you handle grouped enemies. Agedama can also roll, giving movement another role in close encounters. During scrolling sections, the pace forces you to judge the next jump while deciding how long it is safe to keep charging. Boss encounters shift attention toward attack patterns and openings. Some later sections allow a more deliberate pace, but movement and weapon timing remain closely linked. The game’s defining feature is that combination of platforming decisions and shooter-style pressure.
