Gameplay
Control the puck carrier’s movement, pass to create an opening, and shoot before the defense closes the gap. When the other side takes possession, checking opponents becomes a way to interrupt their route and recover the puck. With only two skaters on each side, a loose puck or failed pass can turn into a counterattack very quickly. Matches run across three periods, and scoring more goals is the deciding objective. Championship mode provides a sequence of team challenges, while Shot Race focuses on repeated scoring attempts against a goalie. Ordinary match play puts the emphasis on moving between offense and defense without losing track of the net. The pace encourages frequent shots, but controlling possession still gives you more chances to choose a useful angle. Success requires both creating opportunities and limiting the opponent’s response.
