0 1 1
Jinmu Denshou is a forward-view action game for TurboGrafx-16 that combines sword combat with shooting and some platforming. The camera follows a warrior from behind as the landscape stretches toward the horizon. Enemies approach through the depth of the scene, making distance and position central to both attacking and avoiding damage.

Gameplay
You begin with a sword, so an approaching enemy has to come within reach before a normal strike can connect. Power-ups expand your options by adding projectile attacks, which make it possible to engage threats earlier. Holding an attack can build a stronger blow, although your current health affects the power available. Movement is more flexible than the forward perspective first suggests: you can stop and move backward as well as press ahead. That makes it possible to return toward an item you have passed, but it also keeps navigation involved throughout a fight. Jumps and gaps add another demand while enemies continue to close in. Each stage leads toward a boss encounter, where conserving health and arriving with useful attack power can matter as much as reaching the end. The unusual viewpoint requires judging depth rather than relying only on horizontal spacing.
