Gameplay
When your team bats, you try to make contact and send the ball into space the fielders cannot cover quickly. Runners then have the chance to advance, and completing a circuit of the bases adds a run. Timing matters because a swing must meet the pitch at the plate. The defensive half puts you in charge of preventing that same sequence: deliver the pitch, react to contact, and use the fielders to get the ball where an out can be made. A runner already on base changes the importance of the next play, so decisions depend on more than the batter alone. Outs end an offensive opportunity and switch the teams’ roles. Across the game, scoring chances and defensive stops accumulate into the final result. This is a pitch-by-pitch baseball format, where a useful hit or a timely out can change the score without changing the basic controls.
