0 2 1
The Kung Fu is a side-scrolling martial arts brawler for TurboGrafx-16, released by Hudson Soft and known in North America as China Warrior. Its oversized fighter takes up a large part of the screen, putting punches, kicks, and incoming hazards close to the foreground. You advance along a horizontal route toward a series of martial arts opponents.

Gameplay
The screen generally scrolls to the right, bringing enemies and objects into your path. Standing attacks, low punches, and jumping kicks give you several ways to respond to threats at different heights. Some objects can be struck out of the way, while others are better avoided with a jump or crouch. Your health decreases when an attack connects, so repeated small mistakes can leave you poorly prepared for a major opponent. The route uses set patterns, making the order of incoming hazards useful information on a later attempt. Boss fights shift the focus toward reading the opponent’s strikes and finding the right moment to answer. Because the character is so large, distance closes quickly on screen, and attack timing becomes an immediate concern. The main rhythm alternates between clearing the scrolling approach and facing an opponent who can trade blows directly.
