Gameplay
You can switch among a sword, throwing stars, bombs, and a chain weapon as the situation changes. Each covers a different range or area, making weapon choice an active part of a fight. Power-ups increase your effectiveness, while shadow doubles follow your movements and repeat your attacks. Their placement can extend your reach and put extra firepower into a dangerous part of the screen. Long, high jumps let you clear ground threats, but airborne enemies and projectiles still demand attention. Bosses force you to keep attacking while finding safe space around their movements. The home version offers both an Arcade mode and a PC Engine mode, with the latter using an energy system that lets you survive some hits. That choice changes how much room you have to recover from mistakes. Regardless of mode, clearing a stage means managing several threats at once and using the right weapon to keep a path open.
