The Ninja Warriors is a side-scrolling brawler for the TurboGrafx-16 adapted from Taito’s arcade game. You choose a robotic ninja and advance through military opposition using knives and throwing stars. The action unfolds along a single horizontal plane, with enemies approaching from both sides as you press forward.

Gameplay
Close-range slashes are the foundation of combat, requiring you to get within reach without absorbing unnecessary damage. Shurikens give you a ranged option, but their limited supply makes them a resource to manage across the stage. Enemy positioning matters because turning to handle one threat can leave another behind you. Ducking and carefully timed attacks help you respond to opponents at different heights. Armed soldiers and tougher encounters interrupt the steady advance, demanding changes in your spacing and attack timing. As your character takes damage, the human disguise breaks away and exposes the machinery underneath. That visible deterioration gives the health system a direct place in the presentation. The choice between the male and female robotic ninjas changes the character you guide through the mission. Progress depends on making each exchange count, preserving enough health and ranged ammunition to reach the next major fight. Its restricted fighting plane keeps the attention on distance, timing, and the direction of incoming attacks.
