Power Drift is an arcade racing game for the TurboGrafx-16 platform, released in Japan for PC Engine. It adapts Sega’s buggy racer, sending small open vehicles around courses with sharp turns, steep rises, and sudden drops. The view follows behind your driver as the road twists through the surrounding scenery.

Gameplay
Your objective in each race is to finish among the first three drivers and qualify for the next track. Acceleration keeps you competitive on straights, while cornering demands enough control to stay on the narrow route. Other buggies occupy the same space, making passing a matter of both speed and positioning. Running wide or colliding can cost the places needed to continue. The changing height of the road is a major part of the presentation: a climb can lead quickly into a drop or another turn. Learning those sequences helps you anticipate where to slow down and where to push forward. This PC Engine conversion takes you through its tracks in a continuous order, so completing one race opens the next part of the driving challenge.
