Power League III is a baseball game for the TurboGrafx-16 platform, published by Hudson Soft in Japan for PC Engine. The third installment offers twelve teams and three stadiums, with modes for individual games and longer competition. Its presentation combines a view of the pitcher and batter with broader field coverage once the ball is hit.

Gameplay

Every play starts with a pitch and a decision at the plate. Swinging at the right moment can put the ball beyond nearby defenders, while a mistimed attempt gives the pitcher an advantage. Once runners are on base, the situation changes: a routine hit may bring someone home, and the defense must decide which runner it can realistically stop. Fielding and throws complete that exchange before the next batter steps up. Open and Pennant modes offer different lengths of competition, while All Star mode centers on a selected lineup. Home Run mode puts the emphasis on batting, and Watch mode lets the computer control both sides. Across those choices, the important skills remain reading a delivery, making useful contact, and turning batted balls into outs before the opponent builds a rally.
