Gameplay
The action alternates between your team’s turn at bat and its turn in the field. A successful swing puts runners in motion, but their progress depends on where the ball travels and how quickly the defense responds. Short hits can still create a scoring chance when runners are already on base. On defense, the pitcher begins each play, and a ball hit into the field shifts attention to retrieving it and choosing a throw. Sending the ball to the right base can stop a runner before the next run scores. Each inning resets the immediate contest for outs, while the scoreboard carries the effect of earlier mistakes and successful rallies. Winning therefore asks you to connect the timing of individual actions with the changing base situation throughout the game.
