Power Tennis is a tennis game for the TurboGrafx-16 and its Japanese counterpart, the PC Engine. Published by Hudson Soft, it presents the sport as direct, court-based action. The match centers on moving into position, timing racket swings, and placing returns where the other player has trouble reaching them.

Gameplay
Each point begins with a serve, followed by a rally in which both players try to keep the ball in bounds. You move around your half of the court to meet the incoming shot, then return it across the net. The distance between your player and the ball matters, so reaching the right spot is as important as swinging at the right moment. Playing near the baseline gives you room to react, while moving toward the net changes the angles available during a rally. Tennis scoring organizes those exchanges into games and sets. Winning requires consistent returns and enough well-placed shots to break your opponent’s defense.
