Psychosis is a horizontal shoot ’em up for the TurboGrafx-16, developed by Naxat Soft. Its setting places a small craft inside a troubled mind, producing unusual organic scenery and insectlike enemies. The central weapon system uses two movable satellites that support the ship’s attacks and help protect it from danger.

Gameplay
The screen scrolls sideways while you steer through enemy formations, projectiles, and narrow spaces. Power-ups bring satellites into play, and you can reposition them around the ship to cover its front, rear, top, or bottom. This changes how you approach an enemy formation: moving the support units can open a firing angle without requiring the craft itself to occupy the same position. Different pickups modify their abilities, including additional shots and an electric shield. Your main gun continues to provide forward fire while you manage that extra coverage. Each stage ends with a boss that requires attention to movement and attack openings. Because the satellites contribute both protection and offense, choosing their position matters throughout the route. The game rewards keeping the ship clear of danger while putting its supporting equipment close enough to deal damage.
