Soldier Blade is a TurboGrafx-16 vertical shoot ’em up built around fast enemy waves and an adaptable fighter. The battlefield scrolls beneath your ship as you attack air and ground targets. Colored power capsules change the main weapon, and a small companion unit adds support. You work through a sequence of combat stages, with larger enemies testing your ability to hold a firing line while staying clear of their attacks.

Gameplay
The main gun changes between a red spread weapon, blue laser, and green wave attack. Their different shapes affect how much of the screen you can cover and how easily you can concentrate on a single target. Collecting upgrades strengthens the fighter, while a reserve of special attacks gives you another way to handle dangerous encounters. Those attacks use the collected weapon system, making pickups valuable beyond their immediate effect on your shots. Damage can reduce firepower before costing a life, so recovering an upgrade can be an important part of a fight. Alongside the campaign, two-minute and five-minute Caravan modes turn play into a race for points. Enemy timing and efficient movement matter especially when every second belongs to the score attempt.
