Spin Pair is a falling-piece puzzle game for the TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine. Its pieces contain filled and empty portions, and rotating them changes how they fit together. Instead of looking only for matching colors, you must recognize which half completes another shape. The board gradually fills as new pieces arrive, turning a simple visual rule into an ongoing problem of placement and orientation.

Gameplay
You guide a falling piece across the playfield and rotate it before it settles. A successful placement lines up a filled half with the corresponding empty portion below. Clearing these combinations opens space for later drops, while poorly aligned pieces make the stack harder to use. Reading the shape matters as much as choosing a column, since the same piece can create a match or an obstruction depending on its rotation. As the imagery changes, the central task remains identifying complementary parts quickly. Normal, Story, and Battle options frame that rule in different ways. The game rewards keeping the upper area open while arranging useful surfaces lower down. Each drop adds a small decision about the immediate match and the shape of the board you will face afterward.
