Taito Chase H.Q. is a police pursuit driving game for TurboGrafx-16. Adapted from Taito’s arcade game, it sends you after fleeing suspects on busy roads. Each assignment begins with a target somewhere ahead, and the chase has a strict deadline. Reaching that vehicle is only the first part of your job: you also have to disable it.

Gameplay
The road is viewed from behind your car, with traffic, curves, and roadside objects approaching as you accelerate. Steering smoothly through the bends helps preserve speed, while collisions cost valuable seconds. Road forks add route choices during the pursuit, and the distance to your target gives you a clear measure of progress. Gear changes and limited turbo boosts are part of managing your speed. Once the suspect comes into view, the objective changes from catching up to landing repeated impacts. You must keep pace, line up your car, and ram the target until its damage meter is filled. Ordinary traffic continues to interfere, making an attempted hit a balance between aggression and control. Completing an arrest moves the action to another pursuit with a fresh target and another race against the clock.

Catch the marked suspect before time expires, then repeatedly ram the getaway car to disable it. Avoid traffic and use turbo boosts to keep the pursuit moving.

Arrow keys act as the D-pad and Enter is Start; the other action buttons are mapped to keyboard keys in the player.
