Tiger Road is an action platformer for TurboGrafx-16 based on Capcom’s arcade game. You guide a martial artist through hostile territory on a mission to rescue kidnapped children. The console version reworks the arcade material into its own platforming stages, combining thrown weapons, large jumps, enemy encounters, and training challenges.

Gameplay
Movement and attack timing drive each section. Enemies can approach while you are crossing platforms or trying to line up a jump, so simply moving forward can leave you exposed. Throwing your weapon gives you a way to strike before an opponent reaches you, but you still need to account for its path and your own landing position. Different weapons alter how attacks travel, changing the distance and angle from which you can fight comfortably. Training sequences provide a break from the main route and connect successful performance to improvements for the hero. Larger opponents require you to read their attack rhythm and find safe openings rather than stand still and trade blows. Health management links these encounters together, since taking damage during ordinary traversal can make a later fight more difficult. Clearing a section means handling both its physical obstacles and the enemies placed around them.
