Gameplay
On offense, dribbling advances the ball while passing lets you change the angle of an attack. Getting a teammate clear near the basket creates a different opportunity from attempting a longer shot through a crowded defense. Close-range finishes, jump shots, and three-point attempts make distance from the hoop part of your decision. When defending, positioning helps keep the opposing ball carrier from reaching an easy scoring area, while steals can turn an attack into a quick break the other way. The game’s court view and presentation keep attention on the active half of play, and voice samples reinforce calls during the match. Team tactics add another layer to the running, passing, and shooting. You need to balance individual movement with where the rest of the team is positioned, since a hurried shot or poorly directed pass can hand possession straight back to the opposition.
